I've done the mounting like that too, just have to be smart enough to not put too much in, and be fast with the air chuck, because they will fall off... I learned it from doing big rigs tires. It definitely can be ugly if you get carried away with it...

A local tire shop around here has a pretty cool homemade setup for seating beads. 20lb. propane tank with a 2" ball valve installed, they made a dustpan looking contraption hooked to the ball valve via a 2 " nipple. they also have a regular schrader valve on it to hook up an airhose to charge it. Watched them change 4 skidsteer tires and seat the beads in like 10 minutes for all 4. If I had a camera, I would have taken a picture of it.

My uncle is an owner operator and I've seen him do that a few times before..^^ We've got something similar to that at my work, we call it a bead blaster, it works great..
