changing headlight switch

was wondering how you go about changing the switch as far as replacing it. do you have to tear the dash apart looks like its ganna be tuff to get to thx everybody--89 f150-300,six--5spd

I think you have to get the dash front off, then it comes out the front. I'll have to take a look. The knob comes off by taking a screw driver or such to depress a clip that lets it slide off.
