CB's 68

It'd be funny if those miles were accurate......when you consider the truck is 47.....that would be well under 10% of the miles she "should" have

That's why I'm thinking that it could have been a ranch truck that
didn't get used much,an it mostly sit out in the weather.

The sunvisors had rotted an turn to dust, the seat had lost half of
its color,an the original paint had cooked to nothing.

I ordered a new starter for the bump!..I think my starter is the corporate
to my problems.Think the brushes are toast because if I keep hitting the
ignition, the solenoid clicks but truck eventually starts....:)

Time will tell, it may last a long time. I suppose an OEM part isn't always an easy find for a 47 year old truck

Yup,we shall see!...Id like to get it on before I go to El taco loco
this sat.Its scary driven that far,but I can always carry the starter
with me.The old starter drags the battery down on start up.

I checked an clean & replaced cables & post clamps.Ignition switch
is new.
I tapped on the starter while my wife hit the ignition , an the truck
started right up,so its got to be the starter.

Do you have a van we dont know about that you listen to that song in smilietease

Sort of!...89 Dodge van.

Got the starter off just now, only took afew minuts.
Its not a OEM part either,its a duralast...:headbang:
I hooked it up an it works, but it maybe still worn out.
We-ll see after I get the new one in!...:)
