bed length

what are the differences in bed length in the 83-88 ranger? i believe the long box is 7'. what is the short box?

From what I understand, they are. But I could be completely wrong.. I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

I don't even know anybody with a Ranger that I could measure the bed on.

OK Cip, I just got off of the phone with Ian (the other John Deere kid ) and he told me 7' for the long bed and 6' for the short.

Nominally, anyway...

I believe the bed on my '97 Ranger measures out closer to 74" (6'2")...and I believe that's pretty common in truck beds, so I'd bet the older ones are the same way.
