Anyone local want to help a weekend mechanic replace his clutch

I spent more time than that scraping grime&dirt !!
x2 :)

But there's different ways to do things.

Don't clean nothin' just swap out the one part you need swapped
out and that's it. Also work like there's Jeopardy music playing in
the background.

Then there's Alvin's way of doing a clutch. :/

Take the flywheel into town and have it resurfaced.
While you got the carpet out (because of going at it from the top)...
-Wash the carpet
-Dynamat the whole floor
-Rearrange the wiring and re-tape some of it.
-Make changes to the exhaust Y.
-Clean everything, even the bolts.
-Paint the cast iron bellhousing and other parts.
-Remove rivets that are easier to get to now for a future project.
-Carefully check out all the U-joints.
-Pick out spacers to put under the seat legs.

...you know, the usual silly stuff a tinkering fool likes to do. :)

Alvin you work like I do. What seems a simple 30 minute job takes a week because you end up removing and changing every thing else.
Like the 85 ranger I have, went to replace a brake line
Saw floor boards was rusted so I decided to swap a new cab onto it.
While I had the cab off figured might as well swap in a 5 speed for the auto.
And replace all the brake lines, u-joints, paint the entire frame, put all new gaskets on the engine etc.
The wife just looks at me when I say it is only a 30 minute job shouldn't take to long.:)
