96 f250 7.3 changed valve cover gaskets and pig tails. now runs rough and no power

My valve cover gasket was leaking so I ordered a new one replaced it, and now truck has no power and runs really rough. Truck idles down then check engine light comes on. Truck idles back up then light goes off. It fluctuates back and forth. I'm lost. I pulled it apart 3 times checking injector plugs. Also disconnected plugs one by one to see if I fried an injector but they are all functioning. But i will admit to this, I forgot to disconnect the battery before starting. So I killed something I'm sure. But i changed the fuel filter due to the fact that it sat up for a while and I thought I might have stirred up some trash when I filled it up. Any suggestions? It's supposed to be my daily driver but now it's my daily driveway ornament. Need HELP!

*update* put in IDM-110 from a 97 f350. Purrs like a roaring lion.
