95 flareside computer

does anyone know if the computer in a 95 flareside with a 302 cares which tranny it is hooked up too? I have 2 automatic trannies and would like to know if the computer will run both or does it need to match tranny as well as engine.If I have an e40d in place of a aode[4r70w], will this set code and have shifting problems...

It 100% needs to match the transmission. It is electronically controlled.

Open your drivers side door.. And where the hinges are look towards the dash.. There should be a sticker that tells you what ecu strategy it is..

Like mine was factory U2D.. Yours will be different
