79 Bronco axle code H9??

To much conflicting info to be shure but would like to know what this axle code is? It is in a 1979 bronco.

3.55 limited slip....

3.55 limited slip.

No such thing as 3.55 gears for a 1979 Bronco...only 3.50's were available, but this ain't them.

H9 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 4.11-1 / Limited Slip / 3,750 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.

btw: 1959 thru today: If the AXLE code on the Warranty Plate (or Certification Label) begins with a letter: Limited Slip rear axle. If w/a number, no Limited Slip rear axle.
