Hey all, havent been on in a while, due to working 2 jobs and trying to live it up during my last summer break.
Im about to buy a 76 f150 4x4 for parts for my blue 77, which lost the engine and tranny in june. This 76 has a 460 built to about 550 horses, a 4 speed transmission and 205 t-case that have both been beefed up, 9 inch out back with tight limited slip and one ton 35 spline axles, 3/16 steel driveline with 1 ton u-joints, d44 up front with limited slip thats really tight, ~6" lift and 35's.
My plan is to take all the goodies and put them on my blue one. The 76 came with a 360. Mine has a 400.
My question is, will i run into motor mount issues, or will the 460 and the mounts bolt right up to my frame? I need to check, but i believe he used an adapter motor mount, like this one

So will I just take my old mounts and towers off, and bolt the existing one from the 76 on? or will i have to order new mounts?
