351w rear main and timing cover seals?

There are too many choices on RockAuto etc to choose from for a 351w
rear main and timing cover seals. :/ So what do I do?

Tear into it and take the old ones to the store like in the old days? :)
Got any better ideas?

----------------

Rear main is leaking pretty bad and it's not that big of a deal to get to
because I've got all the parts ready to rebuild the ZF "right" this time
and looking forward to it actually. :) Got all the parts except for the
rear main seal, that is. Last time all I did was change the synchro rings
and slapped it back together. The hard part was cleaning the dangged
thing. Really no kidding on that.

Also fixin' to replace the "chain and sprockets" (motorcycle talk;).
Got a +/- 4* Cloyes so I can advance the cam 4*as an experiment. :)

Also got a RobertShaw 205* thermostat too, the 195* seems too cold.

How about posting the approximate year of the engine.

I woulda thought that a signal ape :) that has spent years on Ford truck sites woulda done that from the get-go.

Oops! :)
...got spoiled by FSB's Bronco information window maybe?

It's a '91 351w with ~135k on it.
Have 2 more 351w's a '91 with ~75k and a '90 with ~188k.
All 3 use the same seals? :)

Also looking at valve seals and see two choices...
1) no-machining needed
2) machining needed

Are the machining-needed valve stem seals better-enough
to go with those when rebuilding an engine?

Anybody got recommendations on what seals to get for any
of these 3 seal needs, valves, rear-main and timing cover? :)
