1976 vin # question please

good day the 4th letter on this trucks vin shows a [y]
f25y is the 460 engine correct for this year? as I have no info prior the 78 in my manuals thanks

My 1976 book shows a Y as being a 360 2bbl.....J shows as the 460 4 bbl

really? that's interesting! but the p.o. did say the company that owed that truck
built 1 gooder out of 3 trucks and that's why I didn't know the "y" engine code. so it looks to me the "j" 460 engine code stayed fairly standard for 73/9 trucks? thank you for your help regards joe
