I'm in the process of completing some major updates to my truck and I am having a helluva time finding the bushings for the main link rod that is held in place with a bracket on the transmission and the other on the frame. I'm figuring the only solution is with a 3D printer but I'm hoping to...
I've got my 08 Expy up for sale. It has very low miles and is still nearly like new. I have photos on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=112239828794871&aid=48718All reasonable offers will be considered. Thanks,

Does anyone have any recommendations of a reliable shop somewhere in St. Louis that can replace the gears in a Dana 60 while it's still on the truck? I have a set of 4:30 gears that I need put into my front axle to match the 4:30 gears in the rear Dana 80.
Well, not totally new. But what I found out from Austin at A&K Machine Shop in De Soto, was the original rebuilt was a shoddy mess. When it's done, next week, it will be 473cu in and the rest of the truck will fall apart before the engine gives out. I'm hoping to get it back into the truck in...
Good luck with your search. I remember how nice my truck (and all other new Ford trucks at the time) looked back when they were new. But once one of those trim panels got dinged, dented or broken, they were a bear to deal with. Mine lasted nearly the entire life of the truck. I actually took off...
I just posted this in another thread, call Austin @ A & K Machine Shop in De Soto, 636-586-0680. Austin does amazing work. let him know I referred you.

Be sure and take a look at L & L Products as well. Their brackets will make the swap a thousand times easier. My 460 swap was simple using their brackets and motor mounts.
If I had old parts on the truck, I would be inclined to go with that diagnosis. But everything is nearly new. I've bled the brakes until the bubbles quit showing up. It's not an abundance of fluid, just what you get when you press on the brake pedal. I'm still convinced that with the length of...
Anyone here ever install hydroboost on their truck with vacuum boost on the master brake cylinder. I'm upgrading to AGR's power pump and Vanco's Hydroboost to double my brake line pressure. I'm just curious if anyone else has ever made the switch.-Michael
Yes, I get plenty of fluid out. Yes, the bleeders are at the top.But I can't achieve a good, solid pedal. This is very frustrating. I believe that with the brakes I have, I should be getting much better braking performance than I am currently.
No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to get the rear brakes fully bled. I believe that the large vertical drop from the frame to the axle is the main culprit. The distance is about 18 inches and the braided brake hose from the frame to the axle is about 28" long. I'm convinced that just...
Project ResponderI'm not ashamed of self promotion :cooldude:I have not really made any updates to the website in quite some time as all of my energy lately has been on my LED Police Lights business. However, I will be updating the site later this year to show all of the changes that will...
Merry Christmas everyone. I have not been around in a while as my business has been keeping me extremely busy. In fact, it grew so much this year that I ended up buying a building near the Airport so my emergency vehicle equipment business could expand. Part of my requirement for buying a...
Hmm, I never really thought about which "gen" my truck is. Once I get my new building purchased, I'll be getting the engine rebuilt and I'll have the truck back out this summer.
The dome lights are a great idea. Especially the rear dome light since I'm going to run the reverse light lead to the back and pick it up from the trailer wiring harness. I'll have to watch the dome lights and see if they come on at the same time as the mirror's puddle lights.
I need to get my truck back on the road by this summer and my time is extremely limited because of my emergency vehicle equipment business. So I'm asking for some help on this. I am willing to offer some sort of compensation, whether it be cash, products or parts. If anyone would be willing to...
Take a look at the swap I did on my truck. LED roof marker light conversion.I know there used to be a source for the roof light housings in clear, but I can no longer find them.-Michael
I'm going to be installing a set of streetglow led sidebar lights. These are the 57" long strips with amber for running lights and white for puddle lights. Has anyone else installed these (on any vehicle) before? I'm trying to figure out the best location to pick up the power for the puddle...
I own an online emergency vehicle equipment business and as a member here of FTF, I'm offering a 5% discount to any and all FTF members good towards any of the led warning lights and any other products listed on my website. This includes our led off road lights, led dash lights and amber warning...
haha, thanks slmann. Maybe some day. I have a lot of work to complete in order to get my demo products installed. I have the rear Nforcer traffic director in place as well as a couple of Tomar Rect-13 led warning lights, but I have lot more that needs to be added. Then I'll put it up for TOTM :)
Thank you much. It's good to be back. I hope to spend more time around here. I'm getting ready to hire someone part time and this should help me decrease my stress load and spend more time for fun.
This is a little bit old since I have not been around in a long time. My business has been keeping me extremely busy. I bought an 08 on 30 Dec 08 to help offset my business' tax liability. I traded in my Jeep Liberty and I'm really loving this new Explorer. The more I drive it, the more I love...
I found a donor truck with a stripped 7.3. I can get the crossmember for around $100. I can buy the motor for another $300 (not sure it's worth the effort). But swapping crossmembers would be a hellofa job. Oh yea, the truck originally had a 351w.
