My buddy Bill stopped by the other day.....

He was driving his old yeller '48........I love the looks of this old truck, nothing fancy but has the right stance for sure. Kind of a hodge-podge, sbc auto and pacer front end......but it works, he drives it all the time. My next one will be like this, no fancy paint to worry about...

    how tough are AOD transmissions?

Are these things any good to put in an old truck? What kind of power can they take in stock form? Towing or hauling? Were they ever installed in trucks by ford or just a car tranny?Probably the wrong place for this question, but...........:hammer:

Swap a carb onto an EFI 5.0?

My goal here is to put a newer 5.0 in an older truck and ditch all of the computer junk. I found an '88 F250 donor truck and was wondering how difficult it would be to swap a carb for the efi....is it as simple as swapping manifolds? Will any 289-302 manifold fit? then I would need a different...

    Bonus built paint colors?

I'm curious about original colors on these trucks.... My '51 F-6 COE was originally white, kind of a bright white. The one color chart I found online did not show a bright white, just a cream color. I also had a '51 F-2 years ago that was the same white I think..... Any links or pics?

    Need dash/gauge ideas...

Been doing a little clean up of the interior of my '51 COE cab..... Before I do any painting, I need to decide what to do about the gauges. My funds for this truck are very limited, so are my options...1. Buy new "big round" gauges....very $$$$ 2. smooth the dash and buy a set of 5 autometer...

Tech: put a 5 speed behind your flathead!

Follow along with me as I install a Borg Warner 5 speed in my '52 F-1.A little background......my F-1 has a mostly stock flathead V8 and a column shifted 3 speed trans. It runs and drives good, but really needs a couple extra gears. Especially on hills... I'm also hoping to gain some mpg's on...
