oops indeed missed in that one indeed the tfi module. problem with the old wiring is that it's a huge mess wires cut and solder bad etc... and when i put in the spout connecter i have no ignition left so i'm planning on replacing harness, pcm and tfi to make sure the car is reliable... already...

my thought is clutch switch, try with a jumper on the both cables if that don't work might be in the steering column or the ignition switch

have you looked at al linkages to trans, mine was heavy to change aswell after an engine swap, one link had jumped out of its holdings... btw i would just keep the truck and repair it.

so timing gears were broken: half the gear was sheared of, opened the cil head and the rear valves are bend, it has also burnt oil in the rear cilinder so i have put a junker engine in it, but now it won't start when the SPOUT is connected, without the spout runs perfect, have set timing at 10...

received the distributor but current cap and rotor won't fit so conversion will have to wait, I also want to ask how i take the oil pump drive shaft of the old distributor? or isnt the long hexagonal metal end piece for the oil pump?
