Cardinal rule, never use a household soap or cleaner on your paint. There are a lot of automotive cleaners that are very cheap. I prefer the old standby Turtle Wax cleaner but there are many others out there.

5w20 for the F150 per factory

I had minor rust on my 2003 and the rust converter and encapsulate worked great. The internet is great for finding anything you need!

Try the high mileage oils. I have had luck with Mobile 1 synthetic oil , good prices at Walmart.

Reply on PurchaseVery nice looking truck. Around NJ a lot of trucks customized like this are used for towing boats and RV's. My F150 has 119,00 miles with no issues-knock on wood. Good luck with the truck.

I can not figure out which pulley is causing the noise I am hearing on occasion. The belt is new and all the pulleys seem tight and there is no wobble. The air conditioner compressor is less that 2 years old. Does anyone have an idea to figure out which one is going bad?

Help, is there a way to check if an alternator is going bad. On my 2003, F150, 6 cyl., on occasion I hear a gravel sound and I can't pin it down. It seems to come from around the alternator. Anyone have any ideas??

I had a similar problem with my daughters car. The dealer service dept. located a rebuilt board thru their connections.

Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem? The interior windshield post trim leaves a gap of 5/8 of an inch where it is suppose to meet the dash. Any idea as to how to adjust the post trim piece so it meets with the dash?

Both stepside truck look great. Just wish Ford would bring back the fat fender F150's. I have an 2003 and am very disappointed in what Ford Motors now refers to as a stepside.

I am looking for an oil extractor that will work on my 2003, F150, 6cyl. The dipstick tube has a slight bend(OEM) and I am unable to put the extractor tube past the bend and into the oil pan to pump out the oil. Does anyone know of an oil extractor that will work on this engine.
