3500? I've been hearing 2200 for an 18'... Yeah, that's a different league...
I'll just use my old mans 03 Sequoia and let that take the beating. He can probably write it off when it gets its next recall (gets one about every 8 months, usually a year or two after he had to replace the recalled...
Considering an 18-20' full size camper, empty. If there is hefty tongue weight, I could add a little weight to the back end to lift the tongue up. Very high chance I'll be buying one to live in within 2 months. More than like it it will be towed no more than 200 miles from purchase location...
Hello Mike, welcome to FTF!It cranks but no spark? I had an issue where 1 spark plug wire connector had broken in the spark plug "boot." The lack of that 1 plug not firing prevented the motor from firing any plugs. This seemed somewhat common when I searched google when I had this issue...
I have a 93 2.3/5speed single cab short bed.
Using the hitch on the bumper what would you say is safe to tow?
How much would that increase if I added a dedicated trailer hitch?I realize I could just look at the owners manual, but since they have a method of determining the limits that may or...
Does it crank but no spark? I had an issue where 1 spark plug wire connector had broken in the spark plug "boot." The lack of that 1 plug not firing prevented the motor from firing any plugs. This was in my 93 ranger 2.3 5-speed.
OK, pulled both coil packs, 1 looks fine. The other seems to have a spot that looks and feels like ashes that is boring a hole into the pack....Might as well replace both and hope that fixes the issue. And grab some new plugs and wires while I'm at it.
Drivers side spark plugs fire on the exhaust stroke to burn off any unused fuel. So if that bank failed, the engine SHOULD still run. But doing some reading the cam sensor won't allow the engine to run should 1 coil fail.
I knew it had a distributorless ignition, but the short name escaped me at the moment. Now do you mean 2 separate coils? or two sets of wires running off of 1 coil? There are 2 boxes with plug wires coming from them, one for driver side, other for passenger side.
I have heard that it was the...
Gonna try and see if this is something I can fix myself.Engine turns over, gets fuel, but there is no spark. This happens intermittenly and the truck will run a few days then not want to start for a few days.No CEL, all wires are connected to the "distributor." Doing nothing it may start...
Welcome to the jungle, we got fun and games!lolHope you enjoy the visit, most people here are very knowledgeable and willing to help people out.Others like to give you a hard time..... smilietease
rust.... And from some reading it seems that the radiator mounts are the first to become really bad.
I have an issue with my fuel filler hose, another thing that seems to be somewhat common.Been doing a fair bit of reading since last Monday when I bought my 93 ranger.
I personally don't like those HID headlights.IMO, what the benefit of you being able to see better if you blind everyone else when the lights are on low?
actually, the part of Illinois I live in has many small Mountains (well, mountains for us here).
And I also live in the Northwestern corner Of Illinois, so snow gets pretty decent out here (every winter there's usually 1.5-2 feet of standing snow, and between melts there's the mud and the next 2...
I'm really mostly looking for a 4x4x4 if I can.But how about snow handling?(and yes, Ive been leaning towards a Hardbody for some time now, but am giving the ranger more than a fair chance.)
Who here has/had a 4 cylinder ranger? If you could please give me some info as to what kind of fuel economy you got, and a lemme know what kind of ranger you had.Was it 2wd, 4wd, auto, manual, a/c, single, extended, short, long, year, engine (the Pinto, duratec, etc...).How do/did you feel...
