My f150 4wd slips when the trans is shifting into overdrive,it will complete the shift if you let up on the gas. Any ideas

I want to take the entire 4wd out of my 97 Expedition and install it in my 03 King Ranch Supercrew 2wd. Other than alot of work will it fit. Any insight appreciated , yea I know it seems like a waste of a good Expedition.
