Does anyone know what brand/model tire Ford used on 2004 F-150 XLT SuperCab 4x4's equipped w/ P235/75R17 tires? TireRack says it was Hankook Dynapro AT RF08's. Can anyone confirm this? Also, will the speedometer be effected much if I change from the P235/75R17's to a LT255/70R17 size tire?
I do not plan to restore this truck. I had a stated value insurance policy for a hefty sum so I doubt I could afford to buy it back from the insurance company. Almost every part on this truck was new (NOS, Motorcraft, or repo-off the original molds). If the price is right, I may buy it back and...
Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. I'm sure I'll heal up just fine over time. I do plan to get another dent side, but finding one as original as mine may take a while. It took me 5yrs. to find the one I just totaled and I had it as a DD for 8yrs., so I was sort of attached to her. I...
Just got back from the hospital today, I totaled my truck this past Friday while heading to work. Someone pulled out in front of me and pushed me into an on-coming dump truck. I'm defiantly blessed to still be alive! I escaped with three broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken jaw, broken eye...
I replaced my entire A/C system (evaporator coil, expansion valve, suction and discharge hoses, compressor, clutch, and dryer). If you are changing your coolant but not replacing all your A/C components you will need to first convert all your o-ring to a "R134a" compliant o-ring. These are green...
Mine did this once, I found out the fluid level was low. I filled it up, and a day or two later it started slipping again. I checked the fluid level and once again, it was low. I park on a concrete drive and did not notice any leaks so I could not figure out where the fluid was going? I found...
I do not doubt he spent that much restoring it, but it sure won't bring that much. Assuming it has a 400 engine with modest performance upgrades I would say in perfect condition it may bring $15,000 on a good day. Who knows, maybe it has a Ford GT 5.4L with twin turbos :)
You could get buckets on a Super Cab. Back in the late 60's early 70's (67-72 bumpside truck series), you could get bucket seats in a regular cab from the factory. It seems strange that Ford would have dropped the option for the 73-79 series? I have seen mentions of the bucket seat option in the...
Are these the original bucket seats in this '79 F150? If so, this is not something you see everyday. Also, what do the knobs under the PS A/C registers do? I have seen them before but never quite figured out what their purpose was?
They make a molding removal tool that aids in the removal of the chrome, however, it is not necessary. It would be a good idea to buy new plastic clips due to the brittle nature of the original ones. On the bed molding there is a metal clip about half way that can get damaged if you jerk it. As...
Here are some more if they have not already been posted: (Sorry, some are in spanish)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pH3GWwhNL4k&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bQYxbCSU38&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i423uzK9k3w&feature=related...
Sorry, I did mean Grommet, the spell check changed it to something else :( If Buck does not want it, let me know. I'll take it if it is for the F-Series. Thanks.
Do you have the cable/handle only? My cable is damaged but the latch is good. If you have a new handle with cable, I defiantly would love to buy it from you. Please PM me.
My truck had a locking hood on it but the cable had a kink in it so I had to remove it. Mine routed through the rubber garment that the speedo cable went through. The rubber garments are different on trucks with or without locking hoods. Trucks with locking hoods have two holes in this garment...
If you have not already bought a replacement pad, be careful which one you buy. The more expensive dash pads are not as good as you think. As a matter of fact, no one makes a replacement dash pad that is as good as the original. Even the pads made off the original Ford tooling are cheap. Most...
I'm putting a set of comp custom ground cams on my '06 Mustang GT in April. I hope to p/u about 45rwhp+ top end in conjunction with charge motion delete plates. Hopefully I'll be at around 360rwhp and 370rwtq with my other upgrades. Your SS sound pretty mean. It cost a ton to do anything to a...
It's a hyd. roller comp cam which was the closest thing they offered to stock. Comp cams makes good stuff in my opinion, so I decided to go with their product. It is a very mild cam and it really did not do much in the way of performance. It does give it a decent sound though ;)
My '79 F100 in a downtown Raleigh parking deck yesterday. I found another '79 F150 to park next to somehow?? Went to the NC Auto Expo at the new Raleigh Convention Center; it was a downer because Ford was not there!!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGIYgi6Gd1A&feature=channel_pageWatch in...
C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\ADAM\1979 351M Vacuum diagram.bmpNot sure if the images will show up? But anyway, I am trying to find a readable vacuum schematic for a 351M on a '79 F100. I wondered if anyone knew a link to a 2D schematic that is laid out like a electrical schematic instead of a 3D...
