I'm happy to announce my 4 low works again. Turns out it was the speed sensor on the transfer case. Its a part a had to get from the dealer, but I had to have it. Hopefully it will last another 18 years.Thanks for all the info...

I agree with the remove the rivets method but i used a grinder to remove the heads then replaced them with grade 8 bolts. This makes it easier to service in the future and also will help when I install my lift. But the whole setup sucks to begin with...

Does anyone know of a thread for disassembling and cleaning the transfer case shift position switches? I think that may be my problem...Even with all this trouble I still love my push button shift, wouldn't trade for manual shift if someone did it for me.

I played with the air tube today and reconfigured it. I also built an aluminum box to hold the air filter, k&n cone. Have to fix an exhaust leak in the morning and re-check the timing. I have an E4OD tranny.

Exhaust is done... new y pipe into single 3" high flow cat with single magnaflow 3" 5x8 oval with a turn down. Sounds great and looks good too.
