    Blew the transmission

Trans went on me so I have a few options buy a used tranny for 1700 install myself, have mine rebuilt at a shop which will cost 3500, or I have a line on a wrecked 05 king ranch with a new trans and fairly new motor 5.4. I'm just waiting on the seller to find out if its the 4R75E in the king...

    4x4 actuator motor

The tried and true BFH fixed the problem for now. Looks to be the motor.

    4x4 actuator motor

My 4x4 isn't engaging. I'm guessing it's the actuator motor. Any suggestions on trouble shooting tips to try before I pull it. Thanks

    CV or universal

There is no banging or grinding, more like a squeak grinding. I think its the ujoint which I found out can't be replaced. Thanks for the info.

    CV or universal

I have squeak from the front when I engage 4x4. It will make it when I turn left. Thats what leads me to believe it may be the CV. I've never had a CV fail on me before so I don't know what happens when they start to.

    New hybrid tires

So I'm pleased to say that I love the tires. The biggest difference is in the stopping. The tires bite in amazingly well on snow covered roads which up here are pretty much all of them. Lots or rear tire spin still. Saying that even thought the rears still spin there seams to still be lots of...

    Canada has just been severed.

The downfall to only having one highway. A brand new $106 000 bride crossing the nipigon just heaved two feet after on day of cold weather. http://www.tbnewswatch.com/News/379810/Newly_constructed_Nipigon_Bridge_splits_in_cold_ This has literally cut Canada in half.

    October 19th

I had a feeling it was going to red this time. I wasn't expecting it to be a majority. I don't know how I feel about the change yet. I feel bent over by Harper and his corporate friendly ways. Majority of Canadians are not business owners who also work hard for their money.

Any predictions? We are a NDP riding. I think it may be close with the libs here. Its kinda looking like Harper may have another term. Majority? They say its going to come down to what Quebec does. I never understood how a province that doesn't want to be a part of the country has so much voting...

    4 pin trailer plug in

I think it may. I might be ordering a part for my grinder. I will be going anyway. Plus its nice to fill my truck up for less than $70.

    4 pin trailer plug in

Went to the ford dealer and asked the cost on the harness. If I want the Ford replacement its going to cost $200. I think I'll order it off amazon and make the trip to the boarder.

    4 pin trailer plug in

Thanks for the info guys. I checked amazon.ca and there wasn't any. Amazon.com had the part. With our dollar being so low and a two hour round trip to the boarder to pick the part up. I think I'll call the dealership and see what price they have. Plus I can get a discount because I have family...

    4 pin trailer plug in

I do have both on my truck. The current 4 pin is corroded. The cap doesn't stay on and it gets full of grim. I would like to replace the 4 pin that's on my truck now. I'm just wondering if I have to cut the old one out to replace it.

    4 pin trailer plug in

To change the 4 pin trailer plug on my truck do I have to cut the wires to replace the 4 pin. Or is the 4 pin a unit that unplugs from the main wiring to avoid having to cut them out to replace? I would like to replace it with a factory 4 pin so it doesn't hang down and fits back into the...

    New hybrid tires

I'm not sure what pressure they are set at. I haven't checked them. Chalk them? I've never heard of chalking a tire. What is the purpose of that? Getting back to your previouse post Duncan, I'll definatly update as to the winter handling.
