So im swappimg the 351 into my 150 I wanna bore it and have the heads shaved. Lookking to get 300 or 350 hp any thing I shuld go with or stay away from.
I'm not very well versed with the small blocks, but do know that a good cam and long tubes can get you close to that 300hp number, when all else is stock. So it should be too difficult to achieve your goal. I assume a good set of heads will put you over that mark.
Edit...looks like Chris already took care of it, with a more in depth answer anyway.
DUDE NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! total waste of money..... that 3500 can buy you dam near 550 horses by itself with a stock part MAF swap, larger injectors, Larger MAF, aftermarket intake and a tune at the local dyno.... thats outrageous.. i would never suggest buying that unless your talking BIG BIG BIG power and a huge stroker kit and etc....

like i said before, the Cam is a very important part, dont get some off the shelf everyday cam... decide on what your gonna want, and comtact a Custom Cam Grinding company... Crower Cams does them, and comp does too.... to bad Jay Allen isnt sick or i'd turn you to him... he's the best there is...
all the parts i through up there are for a MAF system with a larger maf sensor and a tune on the computer or it wont run quite right...
im not expert though, talk to a engine builder you trust first... dont take my words as gods words...
I'm guessing Jay Allen is Camshaft Innovations?
I agree at the moment its not worth it but its a down the road purches. It will do what I want for now and when other things come for the engine itll be thier. I have thought about the maf system but like I said when the time comes this is th way. Not trying to be an a,hole. Put a lot of thought before I did the purches. I personlay like to be able plug my computer in and tune while im going. If im not happy ill find out and rethink the maf
