Its not so much the torque of the nut itself, as it is the rotating torque of the pinion itself. You cant measure the rotating torque unless you have the differential out of the housing. Just snug it down until the play is out of it (unless you've changed crush sleeves and other internal parts).

Thanks Vince, Ill Probably be calling ford and let you do it. Ive been reading and they seem to be pretty delicate, so I would rather have someone with your Experience to do it. Mike
