My thoughts exactly guys. I would love to tackle something like this but realize how much effort is involved. Plus these guys already have all the tools and resources at hand, not to mention years of experience and a huge shop to work in.

I did some simple body repairs on my daily driver while in college, strictly bondo and spray paint (matching the body color). The biggest spot I could stick my hand into. When it was completed the repairs looked fine from a few yards out but hardly professional. I have a ton of respect for Bob and others who do much of their own work.

I totally agree Jeff. I would not even think of tackling mine except I am way too far in debt (medical bills are a *^$#*) to pay anyone else to do the work.

The one good point in it though is that dad and I used to rebuild totalled cars. We have almost all the equipment needed to rebuild it (220V 60 gallon compressor, 220V lincoln mig, media blaster, several paint guns, air tools, sanding blocks, face shields, respirators, dust masks, stir sticks, sandpapers, sanding disks, sanders, grinders, etc.).

Almost all of that is stuff that I bought myself over the years. We technically own the compressor, mig, and some air sanders together (split the cost).

I just do not have the majority of the supplies (no primers, paints, and other small stuff) or a place to work. Plus...with the health issues, even if I take it apart...it will take a very long time to do.

Mine will never look as nice as yours will because I am an amateur with no training and not a lot of experience. Even if I ever get it done...you will be able to tell an amateur did it.

I am hoping to learn from watching yours come apart and go back together. :)

Brian, the main thing is that you enjoy the heck out of your truck already. I drove mine as a total beater for several years and still had a blast. I'm sure your truck will turn out great because you'll give her plenty of personalized TLC.

Looking good! I didn't know it was going to be a rat-rod lol that tractor hood has potential..... Going for F8N2 on the title?

Seriously, the truck is coming along nicely. I'm watching carefully as I have a 52 F2 project truck that I have yet to dismantle. Thanks for letting us tag along.

There are some new pictures up now. I stopped in last Monday afternoon and the frame wasn't painted or the floor replaced. I was suprised how much they got done in a few days. Maybe they thought I had forgotten... :)
