GVW is the easiest seen difference. I don't know the F250 gvw but some come without overload springs depending on what packages they were ordered with. My F350 srw has a gvw of 11600 lbs and has a sterling 10.5 rear axle. My F450 drw has a GVW of 16000 and a dana s110L rear axle in it. At my...
Thank you for the replies. I see there is a procedure to follow for warrenty work. I also didn't even think about not showing up for the work to be done. I just figured as big of a dealer it is, that keeping the seal in stock wouldn't be a big deal. They only thing I could come up with is...
So Friday I scheduled my truck, 2006 F350 psd 4x4, to have a pinion seal put in at the dealership. I told them it was the pinion seal on the rear axle leaking. I knew it was a pinion seal leaking and could fix it but the truck is under warranty so I figured just let the dealer do it. So this...
This truck definatley isn't going to be an "off road" truck. The main use will be snow pushing and dumping dirt and mulch in yards. Thanks for the info on the Goodyears. The minimal road noise is a plus for me as I do drive alot on the roads.
Haven't been around in awhile seem to have been to busy to get here. Anyway, I just purchased a 2007 F450 6.0L auto 4x4 dump truck. The dealership put a new set of Bridgestone R250 steers on it.
Does anybody have any idea of how good those steer tires are? Also this winter maybe early next...
Well I figured Ill stop in and say hello. Been awhile since Ive been around but I figured I will start posting some more. Name is Blake from southern IL and been ford nuts for 2 long. Currently own a 06 F350 psd, 98 F150 flareside, and an 83 F150 aka the beater.
Welcome to the boards. Happy to see a fellow smoke eater here. stick around it is pretty entertaining. It is at least more normal than compared to work.
1957 ford Thunder bird did it for me, dad bought it and I loved it. We always had ford trucks growing up too. Never had any problems so we stuck with it.
Beach your killin me here.
I think I am going to go with the 950. I just don't for see the need for me to jump start a 24 volt system. Maybe I am wrong, but just don't see the need for it.
It has definately been a trial of my patience. I told my salesman to order me a 2008 loaded up like my 2006 because if the problem didn't get fixed this time I was sending the truck back. Thank goodness they fixed mine. I am still not sold on the 08s yet.
Well the parts came in, and went to the dealer yesterday. Put the new complete tie rod assembly on the truck, alligned it and took it for a test drive. Still pulled to the left, not as bad, but still left.
Took it back into the shop and put it back on the allignment rack. Tweaked it a...
Well hopefully when the parts come in it will fix the pull. I have an allignment shop that I go to that I know the owner and he knows how I like my allignments to be set.
But since the truck is under warrenty I decided to take it to the dealer. You can see how long it has taken to fix. Next...
They made that rookie mistake from day one. It has pulled to the left since I have owned the truck. It had 7 miles on it when I bought it. Gives me alot of faith in the mechanics
Get your attention again?
Well I wen to the dealer today, again. This is my forth trip because they can't figure out y my truck pulls to the left. They put it on the alignment rack again and guess what. It was in spec.
I told them BS I don't care about the spec. It pulls to the left and...
