My door handles don’t droop …………and more!

I’m on the road,……….and done.My door handles don’t droop! ( not a project for the faint of heart) The door art (decals) where done locally by a sign shop very inexpensively, extremely happy with the results. Some think the f1 has a manure spreader grill, not any more.A little...

Sometimes it is the little subtle things that make the difference?

I hope that the pictures will show enough detail. In British Columbia we are required a front license plate, not that I used one on my last two cars, but on my patina (farm truck) rod project I decided to be legal for a change. This was the seconded attempt at recessing the plate mount in the...

I am “Sending out an S.O.S” re: Rad support.

Trying to re-install front sheet metal (51 f1) that PO removed as a unit and I needed to know the measurement distance between the eight and six cylinder rad support holes in the inner fender. I have / had to install the rad support first when installing the engine etc so now have to juggle it...

Bed wood floor dimensions for Canadian production 51 f1 pickup trucks.

For anyone that might be searching in the future. Use at your own risk and is subject to change. My Canadian built f1 has different wood widths and more planks and strips then USA trucks so the aftermarket kits would need cross-member hole re-drilling plus a extra metal strip.

I sure wish Doug had done the tire chains up more often!

I’m building a 51 f1 as a patina rod that was originally owned by a old timer from here named Doug and the rear fenders are beat to crap. I have to patch them, especially where they attach to the box, or they will fall off. The running boards are also very well ventilated, but at this time it...

OT: I need your help in finding a very unique fender mirror.

One of the guys in our car club bought a 1959 Galaxie in 1961 from the local Ford dealer (now closed) that for some reason had a aftermarket combination antenna and mirror. (Ford stock radio) He did a restoration a couple of years ago and would like to find a matching one to install a mirror on...

Do you think I should apply for a Patent copyright or trade mark?

Persons or persons unknown (two or four legged) eat my gear shift boot one night and I take that personal, so first I wasted the twins and next Mr. Pack Rat (bush rat) and ordered an another boot., ,Because my doors are not ready to put back on yet and I might get more visitors (I did) I...

Got the 460 running a couple of weeks ago and after a few little bugs settled down and ran very nice (sweet) so far.:)Back to doing other things but started to notice a little power steering oil drip on the floor, checked it out and the high pressure adaptor fitting that goes in a new type...

    I need help………………………..of the intervention kind !!!!

It is not the ugly wiring mess I need the help with, time and effort will fix that, but it is what seemed like such a good idea at the time is the trouble. The original inspiration was to mount the wiring panel under the passenger’s seat in a sliding drawer, sounds easy in front of the...

Well look at all those familiar names would you, ……..add one more.

Hi guys and gals, pleased to see you all, and it is just great to be able to post again and if I have learnt anything in my year long sabbatical it is that that not all questions need to be answered all the time even if I think I know a solution. (Fuel gauges, etc) I have made great progress on...
