so have recently purchased 1984 f150XLT 351w 4v auto 4x4. when cold oil pressure is about 40-45psi. as vehicle warms up pressure starts to drop. by the time engine is at full temp press. is about 10-15psi in park. shift to drive and press. drops to 5psi. leave to idle in drive pressure drops to...

hey!! the only time you really need to pre-fill an oil filter is on diesel motors, this helps lube the supercharger (or turbo) at start-up. have you ever heard a loud screech, almost like a seizing sound or starting on the wrong cylinder thats it. jake
