Guess i didn't make myself clear on that one. Wondering if the flasher switch could have made the short sence their was a hot spot at the power wire at the plug.

OK ! Did some diging today. found the two brake wires melted starting from the switch toward the harness about 6 inches. I tested the switch thinking it had shorted. No feed threw to the switch metal case where it mounts. I would think the short would be there as it looks like the hot spot...

I just sent you a message. The switch is disconnected and there is power at both wires. Bob.
