Thanks fellas, I sure appreciate the help. My truck is at the body shop right now getting painted and the fella was having an issue with a couple of things. I had a look at her yesterday and she looks awesome. I went back to the original color, medium vacquero metallic. Thanks again, Rob
Does anyone know if a 460 out of a 90 scs will bolt up to a 351m bellhousing? I don't have a clue and I have a chance at this 460 with 78k on it. Thanks
If you look up inside the rear panel there is a support pillar just ahead of the taillight, it is most likely rusted away enough to have lost its strength. It helps hold the bedside upright
Thanks Bill. I meant that I thought it was funny that my truck was close in serial number to his and his was built in Kentucky and mine was built in Oakville
Well yep that is exactly what happened to mine. By the way thanks doc for advising me on the location. Quite the pita to get at but still only took about a half hour to fix, and I am no mechanic.
Hey fellas, I recently bought a 2002 f150 supercrew 4x4. Yesterday the blower motor would only run on high. Now I do realize that the problem is the resistor, but what I would like to know is , is it still mounted up in behind the glovebox similar to my 1979?
I just added the wiper delay feature to my 1979. I got the parts out of an 80's era pickup, you have to remember to get the black control box too. After that it is pretty much plug and play with one ground wire to hookup.
Hey fellas I have a 1979 f250 4x4 with a c6 automatic and an np205 transfer case. I have found a fella nearby that has a front drive shaft for this truck except his is a standard transmission. Will his front drive shaft work in my truck? thanks
Thanks fellas, it sure is great to have a resource like this to help solve problems with our trucks. Hey mil1ion, I sure would like to get to know some of your connections out here, I know a few guys in this area with these trucks. Also I managed to get a steering column from a friend not far...
I have a 1979 f250 4x4 with a c6 automatic. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a new shift collar as mine broke today. I believe the part number is D9TZ-7228-B. Also I am in Ontario, Canada. As if that makes a difference. Thanks
