Plow in front of a 6.9?

I have been tossing the idea around ..Found an older rig on local CL..
Wondering if the pump will rob too much power?

Not exactly a problem... Are you talking about too much electrical, or other power? I have a retired plow truck here, then know of others that do it with the old IDI's.

Should have asked that better.. I was spying an older ow setup and was wondering if the hydraulic pump would be a prob as well a 6.9 pushing snow in general...should be fun with a 4 speed..

It won't drag the diesel down at all if that is your concern. Lower rpm is where they shine.
