Thanks for the kind words guys, I know I don't post here very often but thanks for letting my truck on the front page. It's definitely been a long time coming (and so far still to go) but all the work is starting to pay off. Here's my extremely long winded build thread...
I too have the 211 code (which by itself does not throw the CEL) along with very intermittent stumbling/stalling and here's the fix-I haven't fixed it yet but when it stalls and won't restart I jiggle that bundle of wires and it'll fire up every time.It will throw a 211 code LONG before it...
I'm having a debate with my buddy about which engine was more common in the 97-03 trucks (particularly the 97s), the 5.4 or the 4.6. I found an autoparts website that had the percent's of each engine in each year but I can't find it anymore. Tried searching...no luck. Does anyone know the...
Yeah chris, this one's a lot better than the UC one, I'll see if I can post up a pic of that loose rivet I found, It was oblately obvious looking at it but I had been searching for the cause of that clunk forever so maybe it's not quite that obvious.I think I'll lay some really small tack...
Wrong. There are losses everywhere you go, the losses with the e-fan are significantly less than with a clutch fan, especially at cruising speeds. That explains the mileage increase.Very wrong. The fan clutch is not at all like a car's clutch, is is a fluid coupling sort of like a torque...
I'm trying to find the security computer inside a 2006 F250, I need to get the keyless entry code off of it. In my bronco there's a nice black box plainly marked under the dash, I've tried looking there, pass kick panel, under the steering wheel, behind glove box, any one have any idea where...
the added weight will bend body parts over time...then again I've seen plenty of friends do it with 35s.Actually I wonder what an alum wheel'd 33 weighs compared to a steel wheel'd 31? Probably about the same weight.
I'm not sure what the texas market has to offer but in CA I doubt that would get 5K. It's a super clean truck don't get me wrong but it's still a bronco. They get bad mileage, they can't tow much, you can't pile as much stuff in the back as a pick-up, the bronco's around here-even the cherry...
As a general rule you should probably be nice to it for a few hundred miles, perhaps a thousand. Contact the builder of the trans and ask them if you should change the fluid after the first month or so or if you should go longer.
Brian thats a cleeeeean motor! I can only imagine!Chris I kinda made it up as I went along because I messed around with switched power vs batt power and piggybacked off other circuits I have in the cab and stuff, it's probably different now than in the thread, I'll have to go add some more...
I know this thread is pretty old but there are dangers associated with this. You need to be very careful when eliminating the TC lock on the E4OD because the TC slipping generates heat, LOTS of it. As I'm sure you have heard, our old faithful E4's are not quite known for running cool. You...
I guess I voted before I know what I was getting myself into, I guess I'm not the most northern, Chico is about 2 hrs north of Sac. I might have to back out at this point, the farthest I can go for a M&G is about the Bay Area.Ahh living on a college budget:headbang:
I wish I could take credit for those, I found the black ones in a junkyard, which I then sold to Dan (green Bronco)The red bronco is my friend Rich's, he did those himself. If you ever want to learn some fab basics, I'll be doing my sliders and rear bumper over thanksgiving or christmas...
Thanks Aaron-- and you know it, everybody's a badass in HS no matter what the reality is!Chris-DO IT bearings are cheap, alts are relevitely easy to work on, but if you can find one at a PNP, the $15 might be worth it... And all you really need is page 4 and 5 of the install thread.
A guy on FSB runs this site, great guy, great products and prices! I don;t notice any engine drag with a 160. (we have the side mount BTW)
