I removed the dash and found an old punch card taped to the back of it. Is there anyone that knows what it means?

it is a 78 f100 2wd, 300, c6. wheel base is 133in. another question. the badges say custom but any time i look for parts online, ie. jegs or summit, the L6 is only listed under base. are the badges wrong or the websites not educated?

Gentlemen,I am new to changing out U-Joints on my drive shaft. I removed it with little difficulty, the u-joints gave me some trouble but got them out. Upon further inspection, it looks as though I have two different sized u-joints. The front one is marked with a "130" and I could not find any...

Finally got around to changing the transmission fluid and filter. Drained and refilled the TC. First time doing it so I was a bit nervous. Went pretty well but its still having issues shifting. Thinking it might be the modulator. We will see after tonight.

thanks, fatherdoug, i am by no means an expert mechanic. more of a DIY learn-as-i-go type. i learn something new every time i get on here.

i had a similar issue with my 78 f100. it could be something as simple as a loose ground or it could be a bigger issue, possible a neutral safety switch.

Thanks for the advice. For now I am going to have to stick with the stock rims and cheaper tires. No point in spending money on great tires when there is such a long road ahead in way of repairs.

I am trying to figured out if 17x8 wheels with a backspacing of 4.5 wrapped in 255/75r17 would work on my stock 78 f100 custom. any advice?

Finally, got the passenger door swapped.

Looks like a bad $$$ truck.

Decoded the VIN. My truck has the C6 tranny with a ford rear end. Was hoping it was a Dana but it doesnt look like it.

Thank you all for the welcome. Is there anyone on here is the Phoenix area? I have a passenger door with a huge dent that won't bang out. I went to about 10 yards and none of them had any 70's Fords. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm going to feel really bad when I post pics of my project truck. It has a huge dent in the passenger door, the 4.9/300 straight 6. not sure on the tranny or rearend. But I know by the looks of these trucks I am in thr right place for good advice.
