Would a straight axle swap be a straight bolt on swap or will I have to bring my plasma cutter and welder from work home?

Does it matter how many lugs are on the wheel like to tell if its a dana 50 or 44 axle cause this one had 8.

The 94 f350 I wanted turned out to be a mess, so now in looking at a 87 f250. It only has 91k miles is a super cab With the auto trans. The woman showing the truck didn't know what engine it was other then gas v-8. How can I find out what motor is in it? and how is the twin ibeam front axle...

@amkat yeah I was kind of pissed cause his add said slight rust on fenders. Should have said slight fender on rust. But hopefully the one of the 3 I'm looking at today works out.

The truck was really rusted, only one gas tank work and that one leaked if you fill it up, the interior was a mess, and the engine was covered in oil and grease and the transmission shifted in to drive really hard with a kick. And the guy is firm on $4500 so I sadly have to pass.

I've all ready have my eye on a 94 350 single cab with a 351 motor. But not sure what trim lvl it is. The reason I ask is, i hate buying something then finding out there is a better model Then what I have. Such as solid dana 60 front axle. If I got a regular f150 and decided I wanted to turn...

Im sorry I should have known better then to ask such an opened ended question. I want a rugged weekend warrior. I live in Hawaii and all the best beaches are the ones rental cars can't get too. No bells or whistles needed or wanted. Simple and reliable is best. Don't plan on doing any towing...
