good, How tight should I tighten the nut, I've seen about 225 ft-lbs. Does that sound right?

I have a 79 f100. I took the seal off, then later heard I should have marked the pinion yoke and the shaft and count the exposed threads before taking the nut off. What do I do now, I did none of this.

drive is not as bad as reverse, but I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to have someone look at the carb because it stalls on sudden excelleration also. Thanks for your reply.

My 79 F100 custom shifts very hard into reverse. It has new u-joints, it sounds like its coming from the transmission. Any ideas?

Yes I even gently spread the copper conecters on the sockets to make a tight fit or connection.

Actually between the flasher and the bulbs.

sorry disregard my last post, I was typing it before I seen your last post. But that sounds like a good idea, I would think it has to be between the flasher and the panel.

Could it be a short between the flasher and instrument panel?

took the neutral safety switch off and found a wire cut in two, soldered it together and fixed the back-up light problem. I still can't figure out the turn signal problem. All the bulbs are good, fuse is good, I dont know where to check ground, is there a switch somewhere?

Thanks for the feedback,I'm downloading the manuel. I also heard that the neutral safety switch could have something to do with the back-up lights.

I have a 79 F100 my turn signals work but the arrows on the dash dont. Also I have no back-up lights. Any suggestions? Bulbs are new.
