    I think it was 960 cranking amps. The battery is rated at 1000. Will the difference of 40 amps be that important?

    They used their standard digital tester with the cool paper printout. The batteries are two years old, guaranteed for three years and bought by my wife from Costco (I know, warehouse stores have the worst batteries). Maybe I should just junk em and buy quality.
