Well.. when the timing chain went, it ended up bending about 6 pushrods...I'm going to pull the heads and check out everything else this weekend.
BUT... since I will have them off and I need to replace stuff, what should I be doing while in there? Any reccommendations on rods, lifters, etc...
Is there a special trick to getting the timing chain off?According to the book, slide the top gear off after aligning the marks (I did that), yet that SOB is not about to move easily.Puller needed?Thx

new t-stat, water pump, flushed radiator, new water temp guage.T-stat opens at 180*, I can tell by the sudden drop in water temp, but the temp rises and falls between 190* and 220* on a consistent basis and only when driving.Out of ideas...
