On a paving job I worked on we had a roller that had a fuel tank and HYD tank all in one tank with a divider between them. The divider split and let the two oils mix and we ran it for quite a while. It finally would not pull the load any more. I pulled the injectors and there were big carbon...
Thank you both for your reply. I think you are right, my case may be a little extreme but I think if anything was failing it would have failed 100,000 miles ago.
I started working on my 01 this morning for the same prob. It is real common for the vack line at the nuckles to crack where it hooks to the wheel. Mine was hooked up and looked good but cracked and loosing vacum at that point. The vack pump is under the hood over the right front wheel on...
Big Hazard
Thanks for the reply.. The morning temp has been 20* to 36* in the Am I do not plug in and it starts fine. I have checked this a little since posting and have determined it is engine only related. When starting in the am I can step on the throttle after 30 sec to a minute and it...
Mine is a full cab and that was necessary when the kids were home. Now that they are raised and it is just the wife and I , I would like the 1/2 cab with a bench seat. Not worth changing though.
I have a 01 7.3 superduty, about 160,000 miles. For a long time now when started cold the engine will speed up to maby 1200 and no faster. I am always parked on unevin dirt here at home and the truck will barley move to start. If a wheel is in a 6 inch hole I have to rock it back and forth...
Welcome to the site. You may think you are young and dumb but when you get as old as I you will find out that you are even dumber than you think you are. Any way that is how it worked out in my house.
I have had a problem a number of times like this mainly with John Deer equipment. If you have low voltage due to weak cell in old batteryies, The low voltage causes the amps to go high and sticks the contacts together. Just a thought
My 01- 7.3 has 165,000 on it and I have replaced the water pump at 144,000. Belts at 100,000. I feel you come out better with diesel if you are keeping your truck over 100.000 miles and working it.
If you don't drive much you might as well buy gas. I run 17 to18 miles per emepty on the hy...
