    I just bought a 2000 Ranger with all the options, 3.0 engine... had a dead miss in the engine ... did find a bad coil pack, changed that out,,, still had a dead miss on that cyl... did a compression test.... 40 psi.... not good... about to tear it down... and start fixing.... any suggestions...

    OK ,,, Guys,,,, I bought a 1985 f 150 right straight out of a junk yard several years ago... it had the first year fi induction system (302 ) ....factory stock.... after some time of not getting over 14 mpg. ,,, I converted it over to a 600 cfm carb.... and it runs better and gets better...

    Well, after much thinking and dread about it ,, I finally did convert my 85 EFI F-150 over to a simpler set up... went with stock breakerless ign and a holley 600 cfm carb/ E-brock intake.... vacume advance and all.... mechanically the conversion was a breeze,,, electrically , I am a dummy...
