it all depends on how well it was taken care of. My suggestion is find a yard that has some descent newer wrecked f-150s/v8 explorers/mustangs that they don't keep out in the u-pull it yard. i have a friend of mine who found a yard with a wrecked v8 explorer with 50k on the 4.6 and he dropped it...

no they do not. most ford dealers do not have a road force machine, we saw a video of it but that was the extent. the dealer i worked at did not have a roadforce machine, anything that required it we had to sent to the tire shop down the street

you shoudn't need to work it off the fan, you need a wrench to move the tensioner. i think the 4.2 its a 3/8 adapter.... but i could be wrong

if you are having a problem with the pads binding in the bracket then next time you have it of take a wire wheel to it to get he rust off then paint it with some caliper paint and throw some anti-seize in the grooves where they ride before final install
