  1. Need some opinions.....

This. My truck was in similar condition as OP. Dumped almost $5k into it, brakes, new front axle, new gas tanks/pumps. Mouse had made a nest in tailgate, hood, and also fan blower motor, was leaking tranny fluid badly, brake booster wasn't set right. Still need to get rear main seal fixed.If...
  2. Turning signals

Check blinker Relay, it's the thing on the fuse panel in the bottom right that looks like a big circular plug. Happened on my Jeep.
  3. Where are fuses?

In the fuse panel, read the legend on the fuse panel cover.
  4. 96 with dual tanks, one tank not working

Might be the fuel sender unit or the switch could be bad. Fuel sender units are a pain to replace, have to drop the tank (they are located on top of the tank under the bed). If you're going to do that you might as well replace the tank. Both of mine were leaking at the weld line halfway up the...
  5. Door lock swap

Nope tried both the original ignition key w/ black housing and the aftermarket key, flipped them, jiggled them, etc. won't unlock. I wound up finding a highly rated door/ignition set on amazon for like $90.

Is it easy to swap out the door locks on a 96 F250?Just bought it today and got locked out of it, had to slim jim it open. The 2 keys I was given don't work in the doors. Even though the PO had used one on the passenger door. I think the locks or keys are worn.
  7. Pitman arm question

Did you buy a lift kit? When I lifted my Jeep w/ a 4" rough country kit it came with a new pitman arm.
  8. Aftermarket parts

New to Fords, can anyone recommend some good aftermarket part websites and/or brands?I've been into Jeeps for a decade now and know that for Jeeps Quadratec is a big company to get parts and accessories from as well as many other sites. Are there any companies specifically dedicated to Fords...
  9. Hi

New to the forum, I'm going to be purchasing a 96 F250 in a few weeks, just joining to get more information about these trucks as well as where to get good aftermarket parts. I've been a Jeep Wrangler enthusiast for the past 10 years or so. Always wanted a 90's square body styled Ford pickup too.
