I have a 68 F 100, and the lock is in the column, and yes they have history of popping out of park. mine does not lock at all, exercise the parking brake.. The neutral switch is also on the column.

I have that exact truck 1968 F 100, 360, C6. It had sat for 10 years. hand cranked engine. turn over with starter to get oil pumping. Sprayed a little gas in the carb and it started. Rebuilt carb, clean fuel lines and replaced fuel filter. Gas and sea foam in tank. plugs, points, condenser...

I think it would be nice to know at least what city other members or in that might be close. Myself I work alone most of the time. It would be nice to maybe trade off some labor with others.

On second thought I agree with Rho83, Dallas too city. A choice suburb would be more relaxed atmosphere, possibly more tolerant.

Evan is right, the R 12 system will work a lot better than the 134A system. I have been in Air Conditioning business from since 1984. Had a 1964 El Camino with after market Frigiking under the dash unit. It would make sleet. If you convert,get all the old oil out, flush the lines and coils.
