At some point, a Edelbrock 1406 was added to the '85. The electric choke was not hooked up when I picked it up. My 1406 tech sheet I downloaded directed me to hook the hot wire up to a switched 12V source. Did that and still no actuation. Any choke diagnostic tips? Do the electric chokes fail...

Newbie to the forum. picked up an '85 F250 4WD to be my next project. I will bring it into the shop this weekend to gather all the particulars. Small block, 4-speed, looks to need a complete engine overhaul along with some cosmetic work. Won't be a total restoration, more of a daily toy hauler...
