I just figure if u have sayy an x amount to spend on overhaul and power is the goal then start with more displacement since its a bolt in, but i plan on going thru my 400 to see what its capable of

i have a 79 f150 4wd has a 400 in it that has rattling mains, i also have a 351m that is a good motor, took it out of this truck recently, truck needs a clutch so im pulling motor to change clutch, question is should i put back the known good 351m, or can i use the rod and main bearings from 351...
