    Ok. Looking at a 1976 F-100 4x4, with the 390 BB and 4 speed. Not much comes up on this truck when googled, but what does suggests it has many major similarities to the F-250's of this era. So how close to a 3/4 ton is it? Could it handle a 8' plow? Towing capacity?

    I have a 1986 F-250 6.9. I wanna get a little more height (Nothing huge until the SAS swap) but nonetheless want a few more inches. I have the Dana 50 TTB and was planning on replacing the leaf spring packs with some from a 1-ton. Will I have to make a new center drop bracket? Hoping to clear...

    Well I have a 86' F-250 diesel. I will be doing a Dana 60 front end swap in a few months, and need a lift to clear my new tires. I bought (1) leaf spring from a neighbor, for $10.....Now I need 3 more! It is a 3" wide spring, that measures 9" from the floor to where the pin is....I need 3 more...

    Just looked at the tranny and it is DEFINITELY A ZF5! Has the PTO port and everything.....the "D" is in a full white bubble, not just circled. My bad!Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk

    Doesn't matter if it's a ZF, Borg, Etc. The Mazda tranny (Weak one for the 8th gen rigs) was never used in 250's. Far as I know it's a ZF-5. Considering the bellhousing is part of the tranny, that leads me to believe it's not the Borg-Warner.Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk

    Found a cheap 460, and want to swap it in place of the 300 straight six my truck has now. My truck is a 1990, and has the 4 speed stick w/overdrive, which I really want to keep. It is the tranny with the bellhousing cast into it. Would this be a direct bolt-up? Truck will be a designated...

    Change in priorities. Just finished paying off the truck! I officially own a Ford! Think before I do the motor swap, i'm gonna do a Dana 60 front end and a lift, get some new rims to fit my 37" Irok's on there and piddle on it until I find the right motor....Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk

    I already own the 4.9. Swap won't be hard as I am rebuilding the frame with new crossmembers and mounts, and I will get a wiring harness with the motor. Hard to find the right tranny aeound here.Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
