I didn't think I'd ever watch the whole video or even have time to watch it all, but I was so intrigued as it went along.....it appears to be a very, very nice build....but the way the guy is continually praising how much he has into it, I'm guessing he's going to try and get $30-50k for it and I doubt he will....maybe the high 20's, maybe, but I've seen halfway decent CC dents going for $30, so as nice a build as this, I'd guess high teens low 20's is what this rig might fetch.....maybe.....I'd pay that much for it.

^^^I really, really like the way the guy built this thing.....very, very nice.......pretty cool options with all the LED's, the grey painted bed liner, different make AC to hide the compressor (didn't do anything with the huge black box these dents were famous for), insulation, the stereo, etc.

For some reason, this guy was praising LMC.....not so sure about that.....aren't there better suppliers of Ford NOS parts than LMC? Bronco graveyard (which he mentions), blue oval, etc.?

I've been watching this auction to see where the market is. It has a couple things going for it 1) It's a short bed 2) it's shiny 3)it's a 4x4...seem to really be the only criteria for the market to throw stupid money at something on ebay. Change any one of those 3, it becomes an $8-10k truck pretty easily. Private sale, you can find that truck in the $12-15k range all day long. Being ebay, I'd expect to 30% more on top of the high end private sale.

The new owner will see how the LMC parts hold up. Should be ok if the truck never sees rain. From my buying parts from them they look nice but are made of thin materials and the chrome doesn't hold up. Sheet metal is very thin and dents easily with little pressure.
Not to say bad about LMC, but you get what you pay for.

^^^he says he has 60k in parts in it, which I can believe for sure....the another 15k in labor he paid his employees. Market would suggest 30-40 cents on the dollar for parts only? So 18-24k? I'd buy it.

This build reminds me of what Duncan is aspiring to on his own build....somewhat.

Call me a pessimist...but I'm just not buying it, has to have someone pushing bids. At 33-34k it's already eclipsed the price tag of any of these rigs for the last few years that have gone to auction that wasn't built for SEMA (or the LMC Bronco). And I don't think this one is as nice as those. Sharp rig for sure...but I'm guessing we'll see this thing relisted.

I didn't expand on my earlier comment, but my "wow" was in relation to not buying it either.....like I said, I've seen CC DENTS go for less than the current price and were built just as good.

If his reserve is 50kish which was my earlier guess, then he's hoping he'd push the bid up and someone will emotionally get involved with the bidding process and pay more for it.

Something seems fishy, 78% of the bid activity for one person?:

Bidding_Details.jpg

I believe the way the bid process works is if that one person put $30k as his highest bid, you wouldn't see all of his individual bids in a row......so someone is not only bidding up the price, but making it look like it's a hit!

Yeah...I'd be lying if I said I haven't helped out buddies doing the exact same thing. A third buddy will post a ridiculously high bid, then I'll go in and bid up in small increments, and then hope the bidding frenzy continues. Human nature is people don't want to miss out on something good.

Looks like bidding has plateaued...probably will until the last hour or so, unless, as noted, the current bid are all fake.

Like you said, it'll probably be one of those rigs that will always be listed on eprey......he may take it to one of his auctions, get the $15-20k for it it would normally fetch on eprey and never say anything to anyone.

Is it just me, or are the front wheels not centered in the wheel well? Also, in the full-on side pic, it looks like the front sits higher than the back?

From that one straight side pic, it does look like both of those things are happening....I was just thinking camera angles maybe?

Some pics that truck definitely does look to have an overbite and a little bit of squat going on...others not so much. What really bugs me is, I'm no painter...but I know the material/color used to paint that truck isn't the easiest to lay, but you can definitely tell when painting which panels were painted on a different plane. For a $30+k truck, I don't want to see that much light/dark contrast.
