At least you made it to work.
The driver's side is in retaliation since you never take pictures of it.
I can't remember, which wheel is the drive wheel on these trucks?

As stated, the bearing does not retain the axle like the 9" rears, it is a c=clip axle. You have to take the diff cover off, then take the shaft that the spider gears ride on out, then you can get the c-clip out. The area the c clip stays in is smaller than the rest of the shaft, so they tend to break there, that is why you cannot run c-clip axles on stock cars. They do make a product called c-clip eliminators though, which basically press on and hold the shaft in, but not sure if they make such for the 8.8.
You will most likely be needing an axle shaft When you get the diff cover off, you will see what we are talking about when you look at the end of the axle shaft itself.
Hopefully it won't be anything too major and the cost will be low.
dam to bad i forgot my camera in my truck... ill grab it later...
yeah... when i looked inside it looked all good.. and when i pulled the shaft out it looked like the end was screwed up though.. not the splines but the tip itself.. so idk...

no i dont drive that dam thing... Ann drives me around when i aint drivin my truck...
aint got that kind of money to dump into an axle that i already have 700 bucks in...... the stock has done fine for me and MANY others... so why dump money into it?
i may do the C clip eliminators but i doubt it..
i might buy a spare rear axle just to feel safe for the future...
