ok guys.. i've came to the extremely hard decision of i'm gonna keep this truck.

It's got way to many positives to let go so easily. I've got a good base to build. I've been wanting to build a truck for a while.. so instead of dumping 450+ a month into payments and over a hundred for insurance.. ill just restomod the F250.....

And i know this may not be the popular decision but i do not care. this is my decision and if you dont like it. DONT COMMENT IN THIS THREAD. unless you have something positive to say...

Throw electronic ignition at it, do something about the spark plug wire spaghetti, some carpet (huge improvement in comfort), oh, and maybe an AOD.smilieFordlogo

Nothing wrong with keeping points. I was going to convert mine but changing points is so simple and easy. I sold my conversion kit.

I had purchased a kit from crane I believe. Was a nice kit but the more I read about people carrying a spare set of points and distributor plate as a backup I figured swapping points on the side of the road easier than the distributor. Unless you go the better way like DUI distributor or something similar. I didn't want to sPend so much at the time.

Will you be going with a painless wiring kit to save yourself some trouble?

YelloThumbUp YelloThumbUp YelloThumbUp  bigdance Yes!!! another truck saved - so looking forward to watchin the rebuild .... better than the flareside as she will be so much easier to work on ..... if you want any go faster clevo gear let me know as the 302 and 351 clevo's are common as anything out here because they made them in aussie for f100 150 and heaps went into falcons right up until the early eighties.

Congrats on the decision Chris

Good choice. New paint and interior and a few hours is far cheaper than a few years if truck payments. A few seals and new wiring and some looms the engine bay will be nice.
I would skip the SAS unless it is a dedicated trail rig.
