Doesn't the EGR relieve some of the pressure that builds up in the crank case ?

Well from what I figure out if the egr blocked will get more fuel in which is a plus. The downside is there is more to doing a egr delete or block off is the timing issue. The TFI dist is designed to work with everything including keeping the timing for the egr working properly.

So the advance springs will need to be changed to handle the extra fuel. In my mind not a bad thing. I have a book that explain how to mod the TFI dist to help it produce more spark and help with mpg along with some more power.

No not really the egr puts exhaust back into the engine.
