Hello, I have 140k miles on my 07 F250. Can someone tell me what fluid goes in, how much and what the torq value is for the cover. I will use the grey gasket maker unless something better? Thank you forum
my bad its called the 4wd front axle and it takes 2.9 quarts of 80w-90 syth. I used the grey gasket maker(the one in the cheese can)....the fluid should come up just about level with the fill hole. I just snugged everything up and used red thread lock cause I could not find the torq. Grey gasket dries quickly and the vehicle can be driven right away. I cleaned up the cover and painted it with a quick coat of gloss black. It's not a hard job once you get the cover off.
*just dont jam a screwdriver in it trying to pry the cover off and scratch the mating surface.
