79 ford f-159 drivers side internal door linksge

Can anyone tell me how the door latch linkage is attached to outside door handle? mine broke, so I don't know how to put in replacement part. I do know it's a small plastic piece that fits on end of latch rod. Don't know how it fits into door handle.
Thanks for any and all help.

Try this. Section 44-11 of Ford service manual. The whole manual is available on this site.
