ranger #5-junkyard dog

my "junkyard dog". 94 2wd 2.3 longbed, has parts from 3 diffrent rangers now. rear end is now a 4.10, was a 3.45. 20 gallon fuel tank, hurst shifter, warn grille guard.
as i first got it, bad cab mounts in rear, several other issues. paid 700 for it:

ran it as a flatbed for a little bit, made it easier to work on a few things, just lift the plywood off for full access:

7.5 open rear axle with 4.10's, from a 98 ranger, rear axle coil helpers.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/154582...posted-public/

put a better bed on, found a cap for free, grille guard from the 93 4x4 i used to have. jeep wheels on it that i use for winter:

hood badge from a older ford truck, think 60's. thought it would be cool...:

the wheels from my 93 with the tires i used to run, 255/70/15's. works good with the gearing i now have.:

hurst shifter, and the drivers seat is the former passenger seat from a 97 ranger:

made truck a 2-tone paint job, doesnt exactly match but looks better than it did:

guess it could be called the johhny cash edition too, considering ive built it with a few diffrent rangers.....

i like that hood badge too, found it at a flea market, think i paid 20 bucks for it, had been looking for something like that for awhile. hate that my pictures show up as links, some boards it will do that way, some will have the picture come up. one neat thing with flicker is that when you click on the picture it zooms in on it and really will show details. heres one i took yesterday near a wildlife area.

no headliner, it was in bad shape when i got it, former owner had removed most but not all of the cloth. so i just pulled the whole thing out, i could recover it but i dont think it looks too bad as is. dont think it would be a problem with it out. unless when its cold condensation drips on me, guess i will be the first to know. lol.

put my ventvisors on today, was going to wait until i swapped out my drivers door, but not doing that until spring at least. and on that note, has anyone ever tried to remove those stickers from the drivers door? it would be nice to have the right sticker, my "good" door that i plant to put on is from a V6 automatic truck, none of the information on its door tag would pertain to the truck im driving now, ive already started a "build sheet" notebook, since ive now got a 98 rear axle and i plan on changing the front knuckles/brakes to the ones off the 97. the vin # diffrence doesnt concern me since the tag is still on the dash that matches the title.

found a craigslist deal for a set of tires mounted on rims, bridgestone blizzack winter tires 225/70/15's on stock ranger rims, not sure what year but its the same design as the spare on my 93 but its newer because there is a stamping near the middle of the rim about the possibility of pressure sensors inside. no snow at the moment but winter isnt over yet, the front tires i had on didnt have much tread and liked to slide when stopping or turning. paid 300 for the 4 tires/rims, not sure what they go for new, was told these have 10K miles on them but tread looks like new. supposed to snow again tomorrow so guess i will see how they do.

That sounds like a good deal to me!

How old are the tires? The only thing I would be concerned about is if they are more than 6 years old or so, they could have good tread but due for replacement.
